I remember at a very young age, listening & watching my Dad play piano. Sometimes he would ask me to sit next to him while he played, and I felt beyond special! I cherish these moments beyond words! Watching my Dad’s fingers move eloquently along the black and white keys fascinated & inspired a deep love for music. Who would have thought that these precious moments would mold my artistic career?

This piece is dedicated to Paul Desmond & the Dave Brubeck Quartet. Paul & Dave were amazing musicians & were instrumental in popularizing Jazz worldwide. Check out the video

The entire time I painted this piece, I listened to Take Five, along with other great albums that Dave and Paul joined creative forces to create. These musical rhythms have changed the Jazz world forever.

This piece it titled “Hidden Rhythm Celebration”. Hidden in the painting are abstract forms of instruments. Turn the painting around from top to bottom and then around again and see what you may see. From Saxophones to Drums, these Brubeck/Desmond musical magicians created collaborative celebrations that move emotions to another height! Enjoy!
