I was sitting at my favorite winery in Sonoma County in a town called Forestville. The winery is called Russian River Vineyards. I have spent many lovely times with my family here and many birthdays and the first day of the new year with my cousin Annie. It’s just one of those places that feels like home to me and when the wine maker suggested his newest wine "Confluence" I was immediately intrigued by the word and when I looked it up in the dictionary, I knew that that would be the name of my newest painting that is part of the Spread the Love Campaign series. A series that travels with me while I get people to participate as I travel across the county in my 31-foot RV.
What better name than to describe an art collaboration with people from all walks of life across the nation? And as I traveled from Santa Rosa to Morgan Hill, to New Mexico, Oklahoma, Florida this piece came together as many wonderful people participated in gluing hearts, making wishes & rededicating themselves to their dreams and treating others the way they want to be treated. Each heart on the canvas shows the merging of souls coming together in a magnificent creation. I believe that if we can come together with our differences with respect and honoring one another we could change the world.
