The original painting was painted with my hands and fingers only. It was commission by a dear friend after I came home from a trip to Tuscany.
As an artist I am fascinated & inspired by many Master painters, but with some I have a soul connection that goes beyond words.
Van Gogh (Pronounced Van Goff) is one of those artists’ that has touched me deeply in so many ways.
From the very first day I painted in 1996, self-taught from the get-go, all I had to start with was passion and drive to push beyond any barriers and bring more beauty into the world through my inspirational visions.
Every step of my own journey I was reminded of Van Gogh’s personal struggles and how despite it all he just kept living his dream, to live his life from his own point of view and produce master pieces along the way for all the world to enjoy 100's of years later is his legacy and his perseverance is a huge inspiration.
Life has its ups and its downs, and we all have our own struggles for all of us. But artist seem a bit more prone to the struggle.
Sunflowers represent many spiritual things to me, mainly "gift giving, hope and a general feeling of happiness". Life is a precious gift; you and I are precious gifts in this time and this place to and for each other.
When I paint a piece of art I literally have to step out of this world, ignoring all the negatives all the commotion, in order to bring you peaceful colorful inspirations that uplifts and creates a sanctuary in your own home. Every painting I create has its own blood sweat and tears and yet comes truly and deeply from my heart & soul.
Painting with my hands and fingers is one of my own intuitive great discoveries and when you purchase an original oil painting of a flower this is the technique I use. This is a print on canvas that captures the essence of the delicate touch of handmade with love.
